Quantitative expression of the development of the number of flower buds and berries from budburst to harvest in two grapevine cultivars, Grenache and Carignan

Quantitative expression of the development of the number of flower buds and berries from budburst to harvest in two grapevine cultivars, Grenache and Carignan

Connaissance de la Vigne et du Vin 16(4): 233-240

Flower bud abscission was more marked in grapevine Grenache (76%), which is susceptible to coulure, than in Carignan (56%). Abscission occurred between the 5th and 10th day after anthesis in Grenache and the 5th and 15th day in Carignan.
