Responses to calcium and molybdenum in annual pastures based on subterranean clover in the Estremadura region

In 8 field trials in 1977-8 in Estremadura, 60 kg P2O5 + 1 t lime + 400 g Mo/ha were applied to rainfed pastures based on subterranean clover on the principal acid soil types. Production responses to Mo were shown in all trials. In some trials, Ca corrected Mo deficiency. Ca application was necessary on the highly acid soils. Ca and Mo significantly improved nodulation.
