In variety trials with 8 spring fodder pea in 1976-8, Chernigovski 190 gave the highest av. DM yields of 6.12 t/ha. Its yield depended greatly on weather conditions; it was the highest (8.53 t) in 1976. Cultivar Chernigovski 190 and Auraliya gave the highest seed yields of 3.39-3.53 t/ha.
