An erosion control simulation model was developed to help understand the severe soil loss from agricultural land in an area where typical winter runoff conditions include water from melting snow and rainfall on frozen or unfrozen snow, and a soil surface that is usually at or near saturation point, with minimum surface protection. The model was tested on 2 watersheds using data from 3 consecutive years with different hydrologic conditions.
