Study of 3 strains of Hendersonula toruloidea Nattrass, 1933 isolated from man. Aetiopathogenic discussion

Of the strs. 1 was isolated from interdigito-plantar lesions on an adult male from the Ivory Coast, 1 from the scalp of a half-breed child from that country, and 1 from the lungs of an Algerian male with a pulmonary interstitial syndrome arising suddenly. In the last 2 cases the fungus occurred apparently as a saprophytic contaminant. The 3 strs. appeared in an arthrosporic form with the morphological characters of Scytalidium.
