Study of two new sources of resistance to Phytophthora capsici Leon. in Capsicum annuum: confirmation of the existence of three distinct components in resistance
Two Mexican lines of C. annuum were studied at 22 deg C and 32 deg for their reaction to P. capsici strs. and compared with 2 other lines, already described. Criollo de Morelos 334 showed very low receptivity (low initial rate of stem necrosis): 30% reduction at 22 deg and 50% reduction at 32 deg compared with other lines. L29 showed better inducibility (lower rate of necrosis between the 3rd and 5th or 7th day) than the other genotypes.
