Study of wood production from a poplar coppice under very short rotations

After trials had been made with several clones, Populus 'I-45/51', planted at 4000 seedlings/ha, was tested at coppice rotations of 3, 4 and 5 yr. Production could reach 7.5 t DM per ha per yr.
