Sugarcane diseases observed in Uruguay

The results are presented of a survey in Aug. 1982. Of the diseases observed, sugarcane mosaic virus, smut (Ustilago scitaminea) and leaf scald (Xanthomonas albilineans) were most widespread and ratoon stunting disease bacteria were detected in experimental clones.
