In a 6 X 6 diallel, nonallelic gene interaction was observed for number of days to flowering and number of leaves, incomplete dominance for height and leaf shape, overdominance for yield and sugar content, and complete dominance for nicotine content. Additive effects predominated for height, leaf shape and total sugars content.
