In pot experiments, spring rape Bronowski was grown on alluvial muck soil and was supplied with 1.5 g N/pot (4.5 kg soil) as urea or ammonium sulphate together with the nitrification inhibitor N-Serve at 0, 2.5 or 5% of the N rate. The increasing rates of N-serve decreased DM yields to 6.3 and 4.0 g/pot when combined with ammonium sulphate and 5.0 and 5.0 g/pot with urea, compared with 10.4 and 11.3 g/pot for the 2 fertilizers, resp., without N-Serve.
