(Previous parts not noticed in FA) A study of 6 forest sites on Mt. Takahara, Tochigi Prefecture. In newly planted stands N and P concentrations of 3 Rubus spp. regenerating by sprouting after brush cutting increased markedly. In closed forest stands (hinoki, sugi or Fagus japonica), N, P and K concentrations were greatest during leaf expansion and Ca during defoliation. Concentrations of Mg varied with species and site.
