The susceptibility of two housefly (Musca domestica L.) groups to three carbamate insecticides and to an N-acetyl N-methylcarbamate

Adults 2-3 days old of 2 groups of Musca domestica L. from the Philippines (College group and Calamba group) were tested by topical application for susceptibility to carbaryl, carbofuran, propoxur and N-acetyl carbaryl (1-naphthalenyl acetylmethylcarbamate), compared with DDT and malathion as the standards. Both groups showed the greatest susceptibility to carbofuran and the least to malathion, and the College group was more susceptible than the Calamba group.
