The weight of some factors that endanger the eradication of malaria in Moldavia

A survey in Moldavia, Romania, showed that the presence of malarial parasites in peripheral blood and the prevalence of malarial antibodies in indirect immunofluorescence tests were higher in subjects from endemic areas in Africa (6.6% and 70.9% respectively) than in Romanians travelling abroad to malarious areas (0.1% and 3.3%).
