Video for farmer training. In: Training for agriculture and rural development 1981

Video for farmer training. In: Training for agriculture and rural development 1981

FAO Economic and Social Development Series (24): 121-128

The article reviews the video equipment available and considers its use in farmer training in Chile and Peru. Video is most useful at the grass roots level of training and extension because: illiteracy levels are high; many extension workers themselves lack knowledge so video programmes improve and standardize farmer training; and it maximizes the use of scarce extension personnel.
