Effects of spring frosts on grain yield of spring barley and oats grown on soil at m.c. of 40-80% of field capacity were investigated. The highest frost resistance occurred during the tillering stage and the lowest during the flowering stage. The yield under low or excessive soil m.c. was lower than under opt. m.c. at 60% of field capacity.
