Adaptation of a lateral move irrigation system for research fields

Proceedings, Sixth International Conference on Mechanization of Field Experiments, Dublin, Ireland, July 8-13, 1984: 205-211
Adaptation of a lateral move irrigation system for research fields
A commercial unit was modified to sprinkle irrigate both 30 and 61 m blocks with the capability of varying application amounts from 1.3 to 6.5 cm. A stationary pump was used, feeding an underground pipe to outlets where an 8.9 cm hose 200 m long was connected to the lateral move system. Operating pressure is 8.9 kg/cm and water is distributed through non-rotating nozzles.
