Additional data of the myxosporidian (Protozoa: Myxosporidia) fauna of fish in the north-eastern Atlantic

, : Additional data of the myxosporidian (Protozoa: Myxosporidia) fauna of fish in the north-eastern Atlantic. Gidrobiologicheskii Zhurnal 20(3): 49-53

Four new myxosporidia from the gall-bladder of fish in the north-eastern Atlantic are described and figured. Myxidium virensi n.sp. from 6.6% of Pollachices virens differs from M. microstomi by smaller spores (13.3 to 14.6 x 6.6 micro m), more heavily striated valves, less pointed apices and by the position of the polar capsule, lying parallel to the longitudinal axis.
