In trials in E. France in 1980-2, the effects of sowing date and rate and autumn application of N on seed yields of winter rape Jet Neuf were studied. 2 growth stages were observed: (a) initial slow growth until temp. accumulation reached 400 degrees C days and (b) very rapid DM accumulation.
