Calculating nectar production rates: residual nectar and optimal foraging

Calculating nectar production rates: residual nectar and optimal foraging

Oecologia (Berlin): 582: 258-259

In Colorado, USA, bumble bees foraging for nectar in flowers of Aconitum columbianum did not consistently drain them. The amount of residual nectar varied between sites, times and species of bee.
