Changes in FSH and the pulsatile secretion of LH during the delay in oestrus induced by treatment of ewes with bovine follicular fluid

Intravenous injection of Welsh Mountain ewes with untreated or charcoal-treated bovine follicular fluid after PG-induced luteal regression resulted in a significant delay in the onset of oestrous behaviour. Injections of bovine follicular fluid caused a significant decrease in the plasma concentration of FSH, but the level was only suppressed below that in control ewes during the first 24 h of the 48-h period of treatment.
