The first paper (Kim) is a detailed study of one particular cooperative marketing group in the Korea Republic, the Ha-ee Village Crop Unit. Although quite a small group of only 43 households, it has had a remarkable record of efficiency and success, with the result that, although the average size of members' farms is rather smaller than the Korean average, members' earnings are almost double the average national income.
