Maize Double Hybrid 19 grown during 1977-79 and treated with 55 kg N/feddan was grown in 2- and 3-yr rotations with cotton and cotton/clover. In each rotation cotton was treated with 0, 30 or 60 kg N/feddan, FYM at 20 t/feddan or green manure obtained by growing clover as catch crop before the cotton.
