Digestibility of lucerne dry matter during stand development

Digestibility of lucerne dry matter during stand development

Vedecke Prace Vyskumneho Ustavu Rastlinnej Vyroby v Piestanoch 17: 117-130

The influence of time of yr on the digestibility of forage of lucerne Palava was investigated with 4 cuts taken during 1975 and 1976. In vitro DM digestibility increased during growth until the onset of flowering by 0.39%/day; thereafter the rate of increase declined to 0.19%/day.
