Effect of agro-techniques on performance of different wheat varieties under late sown conditions

Effect of agro-techniques on performance of different wheat varieties under late sown conditions

Indian Journal of Agronomy 28(1): 46-53

Field investigations were conducted in the winter seasons of 1972-4 to determine a package of opt. agro-techniques for increasing grain yields of late-sown wheat. Cultivar Raj 821 outyielded HD 2016 and Sonalika by 440 and 270 kg/ha, resp. Seedling emergence was hastened by 2-3 days with FYM mulch at 10 t/ha; this also increased the number of effective shoots/m length, DM accumulation and yields.
