Effect of mulches and antitranspirants on the growth and yield of sunflower EC 68414 under limited water supply

Seed yield of sunflower with 1 irrigation was significantly increased in 1 of the 2 yr of trials compared with a rainfed crop. Yield with polyethylene mulch was higher than with sawdust, wheat husk or soil mulch and with 10-4 M phenyl mercuric acetale spray was higher than with 2% kaolin spray or without antitranspirants.
