In trials on polder lands with a water table at 68-105 cm depth, most of the roots of timothy/meadow fescue/cocksfoot and red clover/meadow fescue/timothy mixtures grown with 120-360 kg N + 90 kg P2O5 + 90 kg K2O/ha, PK and without NPK were found in the top 10-cm soil layer and a small proportion in 10-20 cm layer.
