In pot trials, ammonium sulphate spread evenly at a depth of 20 cm for winter wheat and at 10 or 30 cm for buckwheat was more effective in increasing grain yields and coeff. of utilization of applied N and in decreasing its losses than when mixed in the top 10-cm soil layer.
