In field trials on light loam soil at Felin in 1974-6, spring wheat Urbanka and Kolibri were sown at 200 or 300 kg seed/ha, given 250, 500 or 750 kg NPK fertilizers/ha and irrigated when soil m.c. reached 75% of field capacity. The did not differ in grain yield. Opt. sowing rates were 200 and 300 kg/ha for Urbanka and Kolibri, resp.
