In a field trial in 1980-1 for 2 wet and 1 dry season at Araua, stocking rates on a B. decumbens pasture (a) without P2O5 ranged from 0.5 to 2.0 animals/ha and (b) with 60 kg P2O5 at establishment and 30 kg P2O5/ha as an annual top dressing ranged from 1.0 to 1.5 animals/ha.
