HolsteinXZebu cattle were kept at (a) 4 animals/ha on Pangola grass pasture given 80 kg N/ha with 50% of the area segregated, (b) as (a) with 160 kg N/ha, (c) 6 animals/ha on pasture given 160 kg N/ha with 30% of the area segregated or (d) as (c) with 240 kg N/ha. The segregated area was used to produce silage in the wet season.
