Effect of transplantation date on the seasonal abundance of the green peach aphid (Homoptera: Aphididae) and two aphid predators on flue-cured tobacco

The effects of the transplantation date of flue-cured tobacco on the seasonal abundance of Myzus persicae (Sulz.) and its predators Jalysus wickhami Van D. and Hippodamia convergens (Guer.) were determined in field studies in south-central Virginia in 1979-81. Transplanting date had important effects on the seasonal abundance of all 3 insect species.
