Environmental effects on growth and fruit quality of citrus under protected cultivation. II. Influence of air temperature, relative humidity and sunlight until the end of the June drop on fruit set of early satsuma

Environmental effects on growth and fruit quality of citrus under protected cultivation. II. Influence of air temperature, relative humidity and sunlight until the end of the June drop on fruit set of early satsuma

Bulletin of the Shizuoka Prefectural Citrus Experiment Station (19): 21-28

In this study the percentage of fruit set was reduced by daytime air temperatures above 25 degrees C and there was considerable fruit drop at 35 degrees. Night temperatures more than 5 degrees after full bloom did not affect fruit set but temperatures near 0 degrees almost entirely prevented it.
