Evaluation of different application times for post-emergence herbicides to control Avena fatua (L.) in wheat

Evaluation of different application times for post-emergence herbicides to control Avena fatua (L.) in wheat

Malezas 11(2): 73-89

This paper was presented at the 9th Argentinian weed control meeting. In 1978, 1979 and 1980, wild oat herbicides were applied to wheat at either the 2- to 4-leaf stage, the onset of tillering or the end of tillering. Wild oat density was approx. 1000 plants/msuperscript 2. Early applications of 1 kg difenzoquat/ha gave good control but later timings proved unsatisfactory.
