From 5 months old until slaughter 2 groups of 16 Meuse-Rhine-Yssel bulls were fattened on complete feeds of grass silage and maize silage alone or with 50% pelleted concentrates to appetite. With concentrates growth was somewhat better, feed intake was greater and feed conversion was significantly poorer.
