The objectives of the study were to determine the reflectance values of early blight (Alternari solani), late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and leaf mould (Cladasporium fulvum) diseases of tomato plants, and early (A. solani) and late (P. infestans) potato blights, and compare them using natural colour and colour infrared (CIR) film, both on ground and aerial photographs. Tomato and potato plants in 4in pots were inoculated with fungal spore suspensions.
