Laboratory tests were carried out in Taiwan to determine the toxicity of sprays of 22 insecticides to 3rd-instar larvae of a susceptible strain of Plutella xylostella (L.). The 5 most toxic compounds were all synthetic pyrethroids, deltamethrin (decamethrin) being the most effective.
