Kontyu 51(4): 509-519

In surveys on mountains in Japan in 1981 and 1982 on 2 parasites of the aphid Sappaphis piri Mats. on the roots of wormwood (Artemisia spp.), Aclitus sappaphis Takada & Shiga was found to have 4-6 generations a year and Paralipsis eikoae (Yasumatsu) only one, with a reproductive diapause period. A. sappaphis was closely associated with the ant Pheidole fervida (F.
