Long-term effects of crop rotations, fertilizers and herbicide treatments on the weed flora

Long-term effects of crop rotations, fertilizers and herbicide treatments on the weed flora

Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenkrankheiten und Pflanzenschutz (Sonderheft 10): 41-50

Surveys conducted during a long-term rotation and fertilizer trial in NE Switzerland showed that Agropyron repens, Cirsium arvense, Galium aparine and Veronica persica predominated in a mainly cereal rotation (wheat/barley/maize/vicia faba/wheat) while E. repens and Poa annua were particularly widespread in a rotation of V. faba/3 yr maize/wheat.
