Mefluidide uses in soybean weed control

Work on the additive or synergistic effects of mefluidide when used with other herbicides in soyabeans is reported. Mefluidide + bentazone, applied twice, controlled Cassia obtusifolia and other weeds; the addition of the surfactant MBR 23855 or alachlor gave best control. Mefluidide, applied 1-5 days before acifluorfen, pre-conditioned grass and broadleaved weeds to greater susceptibility to acifluorfen; more spp. and larger weeds were controlled than when the herbicides were used alone.
