Abstract
General procedures for microbiological examination of all types of dried dairy products except casein, caseinates and coprecipitates are outlined, covering storage and preparation of samples, preparation of dilutions, etc. Methods to be used for standard plate count (pour-plate method described in AS 1095.1.2), salmonellae and other specific microorganisms (AS 1095.3) are indicated.
