In field trials in 1977-9 in the potato-growing region, pea Dalibor was unfertilized or given 22 kg P + 83 kg K/ha or P + K in combination with 30, 60, 90, 120 or 150 kg N; all treatments were with or without 5 t wheat straw/ha ploughed in. The highest seed yield of 5.02 t/ha was obtained with 30 kg N + PK + wheat straw; increased N levels reduced yields slightly. Ploughed-in straw without commercial fertilizers increased pea yields by 0.6 t/ha.
