Nutrient requirements for rainfed and irrigated groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) under different levels of weed management
The N,P and K requirements/100 kg pods of rainfed groundnuts were 18.5, 2.34 and 6.40 kg, resp., under unweeded condition and 7.01, 0.56 and 1.26 kg under weed-free conditions. In an irrigated crop they were 5.04, 1.06 and 2.71 kg without weeding and 4.49, 0.91 and 1.59 kg with weeding. Manual or chemical weeding were equally effective.
