Nutrient translocation and water balance in a Cambisol derived from loess colluvium under arable cropping
The water budget and nutrient leaching were studied in a loess soil cropped with oats. The soil had previously been cultivated for a 6-year period. Ceramic cups were used to obtain soil water samples at a depth of 100 cm at two-week intervals, two years after the application of compost or chemical nitrogen fertilizers.
