Nutrition of apple trees with zinc

Nutrition of apple trees with zinc

Alon Hanotea 38(3): 137-155

An investigation during 1977-80 was carried out with Granny Smith on the local Hashabi rootstock. Zinc nitrate combined with potassium nitrate or magnesium nitrate was as effective in combatting zinc deficiency and was more efficient than the common commercial treatment, based on combined Nutrazinc (a zinc oxysulphate preparation) and urea sprays, in impairing node length, trunk circumference and tree height, but no differences were found in yield.
