2. A diet survey with interviews was made in a hospital on 55 Danish and immigrant children 6 months to 3 years old with iron-deficiency anaemia. Controls were 60 children chosen at random in the same age group and with normal haemoglobin values. The anaemic children consumed significantly less iron daily than did the controls. The difference for immigrant children alone was limited and not significant.
