, : Observations on Bruchidae (Coleoptera) of north-western Argentina. V. Morphological and biological studies on Amblycerus longesuturalis (Pic). Acta Zoologica Lilloana 37(1): 91-100

Information is given on the external morphology and biology of Amblycerus longesuturalis (Pic), a beetle that attacks the seeds in the fruits of the forest tree Cordia trichotoma in Salta Province, Argentina. Laboratory rearing indicated that the beetle had 1 generation a year, the females ovipositing on the green fruits in June. Adults were observed in the field from early October.
