Cheiron 12(6): 323-326

Observations on seasonal variations on developmental stages of Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum Koch, 1844

Observations were made in Maharashtra State in 1979-80 on seasonal variations in the durations of various development stages of Hyalomma anatolicum anatolicum Koch collected from cattle. The stages examined were the preoviposition period, the egg stage, and the moulting periods of engorged larvae and engorged nymphs. In general, the durations were shortest in April-May and longest in December-January.
