Physiological and biochemical features of germinating grains of high-lysine maize

Physiological and biochemical features of germinating grains of high-lysine maize

Tr VNII udobr i agropochvoved (60): 60-68

In a comparison of seedlings of normal and opaque maize, respiration rate of the embryo was higher in normal than opaque maize, apparently owing to a high activity of enzymes involved in glycolysis and the Krebs cycle.
