Polish provenances of Scots pine, Norway spruce and European larch in international trials

Polish provenances of Scots pine, Norway spruce and European larch in international trials

Arboretum Kornickie 25: 135-160

The performance of Polish provenances in IUFRO trials in Europe and N. America were analysed from published data. Scots pine of Masurian and western Polish provenances performed well throughout the trial range, whereas southern montane provenances were less adaptable. Norway spruce of several provenances (especially from the High Beskidy mountains) performed well in Europe and N. America, but variability between source stands was high.
