In a study of a leaf-spot which can be eliminated by liming, Dracaena deremensis 'Janet Craig' growing in perlite received two Ca treatments (CaSO4 at 0 and 2.41 kg/msuperscript 3 incorporated) and five ratios of ammonium-nitrate (1:0, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 0:1, applied as liquid feed at 10 kg/msuperscript 3 per yr.). Tissue contents of Ca, Mg, N, P, K, B, Mn, Fe, Cu and Zn, and plant growth, leaf area and foliar symptoms (necrosis, chlorosis etc.) were recorded.
